Well, that's not 100% true Mike. It will shift the place where those decisions are made from a bunch of private bureaucrats to a bunch of government bureaucrats. What's the difference?
I wonder about that every time some asshat at the insurance company decides that one of my scripts will no longer be covered. They claim there is, what they consider, an OTC equiv. Funny though, my doctor tells me there's a difference between the script version and the OTC. Now sure, my doctor might be contractually "obligated" to say that by big pharma, but I notice a major difference in my health. He can't be all that far off. Unfortunately my insurance doesn't agree and expects me to pay for 100% of the cost of the script. $185/month so I can feel better. So, who is running things?
You go Mr. Obama! This time I take you as the lesser of two evils. Will it be any better? Probably not. But at least I finally get to screw those asshole fat cats who toiled greedily in order to make me a slave to their system.
