There's nothing I can do about it.

I am so sick of hearing people spout this useless excuse for their own laziness! Our world is the way it is because people don't care. As long as we can go to McDonalds, watch American Idol, and have a delusion of freedom we're happy. Well it does effect your life.

1. FDA approves drugs that are not safe and turns away those that can help you.
2. IRS steals money from you to pay for wars a vast majority of the population doesn't want.
3. Corporate fat cats pollute the air you breathe, the water you drink, and the information you read/watch/hear.
4. Government backed Insurance companies rape your pay check every month to support their yacht... I mean your health care.
5. The government RIGS elections!
6. They've removed your 4th and 6th amendment rights. Speedy Trial by jury and illegal search and seizure. Don't believe me, ask any American citizen who's imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay. Oh wait, that's right, you can't cause they're "terrorists"
7. Gas prices... Oh Yes, gas prices. Georgie can let his good ole boy buddies lose money now can he? Why do ya think they had themselves a good ole down south lynchin' with Saddam?

Our government knows you don't care and they're happy with that. As long as the public remains sedated the government can go on acting unscrupulously and continue to ignore your interests. You say you can't do anything about it? Bull shite! Get off you lazy ass and make your voice heard. Write your congressman and senators. When they don't do what you want make your voice heard again when you go vote for their opponent. The presidential election is not the only election there is you know. To be quite honest I think the statement, "There's nothing I can do about it" is just an excuse for laziness.

Worse case scenario, they cart you and your pretty little family off to a camp for "registration". Don't believe it? Ask any German who was alive in the 1930's. It can happen and it will happen as long as people keep thinking none of it effects them and there's nothing they can do about it!

A stark reminder.

'ere will I see
where beauty may be
by her nature the earth provide

Alas she is there
in her dizzy afair
with the bloom and fawn she confide

a grace she possess
to the world she egress
its subjects overcome with esteem

For beauty must see
that a flower is she
and her charm punctuates like a dream
