The grass is always greener...

So, as I'm sitting here in my front yard reading away on my laptop I glance over at my new flower bed and see something so horrifying that I can't believe it's not butter. In amongst the impatients I have planted are hundred if not thousands of tiny sprouts.

30 hours over three weekends it took me to turn an ugly weed infested pile of rocks into this beautiful flower bed. Just to see it turn into a weed infested flowerbed? UGH!!! It's almost like the dirt I bought was full of grass seed. I knew the gardening soil I had purchased from Blumels might have some seeds in it given it's initial outdoor state but never this. then I remember I was in such a hurry to finish that I purchased 4 bags of ... something ... from Walmart.

Reminder to self, don't get dirt from Walmart again.

I truely wish I could remember what the name of that stuff was. To be honest with ya, I think it's grass seed. Oh great, my beautiful flower garden is now going to be a grass garden of which I cannot cut without destroying the flowers that also lay within. How my neighbors will laugh at my first failed attempt, I'm thinking to myself. Fortunately my neighbors are pretty cool and most likely will give me a hand in laughing at myself. Then offer up a bit of advice about not buying dirt with grass seed in it and never buying anything dirt from Walmart. Especially without reading what I'm buyng.

Ah well, my first failed attempt at gardening. It just drives me to try again. I can't even begin to imagine how horriable the vegetable garden I am going to attempt next year will be.

Welp, TTFN.

Update: Here's the link to a pic. If you look all around the Impatient you will see little blades of something coming up. Those are EVERYWHERE!!! I'm guessing it's grass! *sadly shakes his head*
