China's rule is far better then what the average Tibetan had before March 10, 1959. See, before China, Tibet had a wealthy class, a very TINY middle class and a slave/surf class (over 95% of the population). Surf family life was akin to that of black Americans in the south prior to the American civil war. People were beaten and killed by their masters. Babies and children were taken and sold or raped or killed. Lamas considered the surfs property to be traded and discarded like common inanimate objects. These are the monks people so vigorously defend. In actuality the Tibetan aristocratic class, including the 14th Dalai Lama himself (who owned 27 manors worked by over 6000 slaves), were brutal masters no better then the plantation owners of the American south.
That doesn't mean China is any better at recognizing human rights, but you can't go around idolizing the demon to spite the devil.
Further more, the Dalai Lama does not want freedom from the Chinese, he wants something more like Hong Kong, a special administrative region. Something similar to an American Territory like Peurto Rico.

Illegals!?

Why are we expecting the government to fix this? If there are banks giving loans to illegals, why don't we find out who those banks are and boycott them? What, are we to busy managing our own greed and materialism to bother? Take this issue into your own hands. Cancel accounts at banks whom you know to have proliferated this illegal activity. Let them know of your dissatisfaction. Do you honestly trust the government enough to stick it to the corporate aristocracy? I don't! We have the power, grow some balls and use it!

For Christ sake!?!
The kids now a days have no imagination of their own; retro cars, movie remakes, even the fashion isn't their own. Well except for the kids who walk around holding their pants up, that's just ignorant. Even leisure suits weren't that bad.
About misspelling..
I think people are way to anal. It's about the opinions being expressed not the manner in which they're expressed. To assume a person or their opinion is flawed in some way simply because they can't spell is "poisoning the well". And, if people can't understand the meaning when 'there' is misspelled 'their' in a sentence they have much bigger problems then the misspeller. Then again, maybe they just get a rush from being better then everyone else. *shrug*
But.. technology abound, I find it hard to believe the medium being used doesn't have a spell checker. Failure to accept that one can't spell and use the tools available is quite ignorant.

Yeah ok...
So, yeah, I am turning 40 this year. That's about 14610 orbits of the Earth around the sun. Electromagnetic energy has traveled an amazing 235,145,014,927,344.34 miles through space. The Milky Way has spun a little more then one half a degree on it's axis. Haley has traveled just about one half of it's orbit around the sun. And no, I don't feel any different!
